Domenico Losurdo (born 11 February 1941) is an Italian Marxist historian, philosopher, and political theorist.
Losurdo was born in Teramo, Italy. He studied at the University of Rome and the University of Pisa. He has taught at the University of Urbino, the University of Bologna, and the University of Trento. He is currently a professor at the University of Sassari.
Losurdo is the author of numerous books, including Liberalism: A Counter-History (2011), Class Struggle: A Historical and Comparative Perspective (2012), and War and Revolution: Rethinking the Twentieth Century (2015). He has also translated and edited works by Georg Lukács, Karl Korsch, and Antonio Gramsci..
