¿Quién fue Régis Debray?
Régis Debray (París, 1940-2017) was one of the main cultural and political thinkers of our time. Seen by many as a former advisor to Fidel Castro, he is the author of the International Communist Manifesto in 1967, among other books.
In 1986 he published the work for which he is best known, Mediología: las imágenes, los medios y los hombres (Literaria Random House, 2013). It was awarded the National Circle of French Critics Prize, the National Order of Médecins Prize and the Design and Communications National Award.
His latest books include Days and Nights of Love and War (Farrar, Straus and Giroux, 2007) and Frank and Jesse James: Los primos enemigos (RBA Libros, 2012)..
